System Requirements
It's good you're ready to change. But your
computer must be ready too.
YOUR COMPUTER MUST HAVE THESE 4 THINGS:
There are four things you must have for the Pure Online workshop to function properly:
- The Macromedia Flash player 7 or newer [get it now]
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 or newer (Safari, Opera, and Firefox may work, but we can not offer technical support for them)
- Cookies MUST BE ENABLED
- You must have a HIGH SPEED Internet connection (i.e., DSL, cable modem, T1, or better)
- It is probably obvious from the other requirements above, but you must have a decent system--i.e., a computer with more than 256mb ram, an operating system that is less than 5 years old, and enough hard drive space to support caching of files, etc.
The Pure Online program contains video content that requires a great deal of bandwidth. To participate in the workshop, you need to have a high-speed Internet connection (i.e., DSL, cable Internet, T1, or other high-speed connection.)
Most offices have high-speed connections as do almost all Starbucks (bring your headphones to listen to the audio.) If you are on a high-speed connection and still experience some "jitter" or "choppiness", try clicking on one of the bandwidth buttons in the green area of the Pure Online controls that are marked with "AUDIO - LOW - MEDIUM - HIGH" to change to a lower resolution version of the workshop if needed.
